Aghor, a kind of vidhi nishedh or which has no fixed process is the highest form of tantra. Tantra means system and Aghor is a system which goes beyond any system. Aghoris of India is the extremist of Sanatan Dharma and are devotees of Lord Shiva. They can only be seen during Kumbh Mela held at different places of India after every 12 years. 

We're gonna discuss few interesting facts and rituals done by Aghoris of India, to attain Salvation or Moksha. According to hindu mythology earth is a platform to get moksha easily, that's why these Sadhu's perform many rituals. Let's discuss in brief who they are actually..

Who are Aghori or Naga Sadhus??

• Aghori's are simple person who lives with ease. These are sadhus belonging to an unconventional clan, who are Shiva worshippers. While some thinks that, they are sadhus with black magic that can harm people and have divine powers.
• They are not dreaming vendors but a spiritual person having mystical personality. They usually smoke through a Chillum look like a pipe, to avoid distraction from the world. Their hairs are tightly knotted and the body is covered with Ash, and usually naked. 

Temperament of Aghori Sadhus.

• They are worshippers of Lord Shiva stalling on the planet, attempting to awake individuals up. Aghoris are people of spiritual values, having character of direct and straightforwardness. 
• Their state of mind is wonderful, clean and basic. The Aghoris can directly work on his outline. Basically they do things opposite to their likes, if there is any violence in him they can learn to like that violence, so as to throw out of it and if he carries hate towards one thing he can eat what he hates.
• They discard of everything they like and expose all their five senses to what they hate. If Sadhus love one thing and thinks that it binds him he can through it away. 
• They are able to face a deep fear and do not worry about the pain. Aghori stop sleeping if they are not able to wake up early in the morning and do not believe to suspend things. 

Rituals done by Aghori Sadhus

• Normally these knowledge are never reveal by Aghoris. They never tell someone about their prayers and chants. Even in meditation, they do not chat the mantra aloud, so that no one could identify it. 
• One of the ritual is "Shava Sadhna", it is a kind of ritual that is done on the dead body or near the funeral pyre. The funeral pyre is considered to be a pure thing according to sadhus. The Shava Sadhana is done at mostly in night and the clear knowledge of it is known only by the Aghoris.
• Another one is "Kamakhya Siddhi", a kind of special worship of Maa Kamakhya. This ritual is done to get protection from any kind of spirits and supernatural. Basically, to protect themselves from Black activities.
• Next could be an unbroken Sadhna near river bank, mostly near Ganga. The rest of the rituals are secrets and the powerful one, that's why Aghori didn't reveal them, as they use it for harming humans.

Weird Facts on Aghoris of India.

• Cannibalism- it is believed that these Sadhus openly eat human flesh. They feed already dead corpses and don't kill to eat, because of this nobody questions them.
• Holistic Healer- they cure many incurable diseases from the human oil that they take from the pyre when the body is being burnt and proposed that the oil was very powerful and effective.
• Necrophilism- it's very creepy that Aghoris have sexual intercourse with dead bodies. They told the reason is that they find purity in what is considered by the major population as filth. They also said that it is the deeper desire of the goddess Kali, that they have to fulfill by this intercourse. That's very strange! 
• Dark Magic- they perform black magic to attain powers, not to harm anyone or anything, but they say that it use them in increasing their powers to talk to the dead. 
• Survival Fact- they can survive in the harsh and extreme weather conditions and also known to live in the scariest jungles, deep caves, barren deserts and so on. 
• Meditation- they are seen to be meditating in a symmetry on a corpse and also stand on one leg to meditate over a corpse just like Parvati, the goddess standing on the chest of Lord Shiva.

Interesting fact- Kina Ram, the first Aghori who set ground for the rest of the Aghoris is said to have lived for 150 years. His Death happened in the late 18th century.
