Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's death is still shrouded in a mystery, even after 75 years. The controversy surrounding the death of Bose refuses to die down. Many Conspiracies about his death makes it more mysterious. Many believe that he did not die during the plane crash on August 18, 1945 in Taihoku (now Taiwan). While other theories say that, he spent his last days in Uttar Pradesh and building his strength and keeping his identity as a secret after the fake news of plane crash. 

The death of Netaji's left many Indians in a state of shock and disbelief, but creates many mysterious stories as well. Here is a look back at some of the most intriguing Conspiracies related to the death of such great personality.

• Death Scenario of Netaji.

Japanese newspaper, published on August 23, 1945, reports the Death of Netaji and General Tsunamasa Shidei.

• At 2 pm on August 17 1945 a Mitsubishi Ki-21 heavy bomber took off from saigon airport inside the aircraft, there were 13 peoples including Col. Habibur Rahman of the Indian National Army and one man who sat in a seat a little behind the post side wing Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
• After an overnight halt in Vietnam, on August 18, the plane arrived to the fuel in Taihoku (now Taiwan). The flight took off again pessenger heard the loud bang the ground crew saw the port side engine fall off and the plane crashed.
• The pilots and Lt Gen Shidei killed instantly, Col.Rahman fell unconscious, but Netaji survived. But a few hours later,in coma in a hospital, Netaji passed away.
• But the mystery came here is that, there were no official reports released by the government of India or Britain. Many rumours alleged that Netaji did not die on that fateful day in Taiwan.
• No dead body- an intriguing and damning fact emerged that, Netaji's other lieutenant who were to follow him on other flight never saw his body. No one took photographs of Bose's injuries or his body, nor was a death certificate issued.
• Many rumours began doing the rounds that Bose was either in Soviet- held Manchuria, a prisoner of Soviet Army or had he gone into hiding in Russia. In 1946, Lakshmi Swaminathan of the INA's Jhansi regiment, told that Bose was in China. 
  
• Also many say that Netaji could not have died in plane crash because no aviation accident occurred in Taipei on August 18, 1945. In 2005, the BBC reported that Taiwanese government reject the Bose died in a plane crash in Taipei story.

• Was Netaji became a Sadhu ??

• In 1950's, there emerged a story that Netaji had become a Sadhu. Many believe that he was Gumnami Baba due to his physical appearance similar to Bose which was identified by his close relative. Bengali accent and good knowledge of English language made many show that he was Netaji. 
• His room in Faizabad contained most of the things which later Netaji was using like Cigar and spectacle. Also there was a family photo of Bose in his room which was found during checking after Gumnami Baba death.

• According to Bose associates, he returned to India after the war, became a sadhu, attented Gandhi's funeral unseen in 1948 and lived in a temple of Bareilly. 
• Another theory of this version, i.e. Bose remained either in Soviet Union or China. He attended Jawaharlal Nehru's cremation in 1964, of which was appeared to even be photographic evidence.

•  Soviet Dictator "Joseph Stalin" killed Bose?

• BJP's Subramanian Swamy has alleged that Netaji did not actually die in an accident but was killed by Josef Stalin in late 1950's. He said that, Bose had faked his death and escaped to Manchuria in China which was under Russian occupation. 
• But Stalin put him into the Jail in Siberia and somewhere in 1953, he hanged or suffocated Netaji to death, said Swamy, demanding that the Netaji files be declassified.

• Government didn't inquire about Bose.

• The Congress government was in fear of losing power and position as Bose was the main character in getting freedom from Britishers. Congress didn't inquire in brief about fake news of plane crash or whether Netaji is alive or not.
• Even BJP government get ahead in declassifying files related to Netaji's death and showed not much interest.
• Once Netaji returned to India, their would be a chances of political crash in Indian government during that time.
